GARO To Get 3D Film

GARO To Get 3D Film

GARO will be heading to the silver screens in 3D. Studio Tohoku Shinsha broke the news earlier stating that the movie titled GARO~Red Requiem will use 3D image technology developed by the Tôhoku Shinsha group.

Many of you may not be familiar with GARO, so here’s a brief description brought to you by Anime Vice.

GARO is a live-action special-effects show that is a lot darker than your normal Super Sentai, or Kamen Rider show. The best part is, it even has nudity (a little, but I’ll take what I can get!) To be honest, the real best part about this series is the fight choreography, it has some of the craziest fight scenes I’ve ever seen. However the CG effects were average at best, but I guess that’s expected from Japan.

And to give you an idea of just how awesome the fight choreography is check out the video.

Anime Expo’s Power Ranger Panel

Anime Expo's Power Ranger Panel

So there was a cool Power Rangers panel at the recent Anime Expo with some of the best actors and actresses from various series. However, there’s seems to be a very important person missing there.

The one who matters most -- Jason David Frank, the original Green and White Ranger!

Anyway, you can watch the panel on YouTube. You’ll find the first part below.

By the way, if you live in Orlando, Florida or happen to be in the Central Florida area you should attend this year’s Anime Festival Orlando. Why? Because Jason David Frank is one of the guests! That’s probably the best, if not the only, reason to attend.

Kamen Rider W Will Air In September

Kamen Rider W Will Air In September

This year, Kamen Rider will be even more exciting as there will be two main characters donning the Kamen Rider suit in Kamen Rider W, pronounced Kamen Rider double. The two main characters are Shotaro Hidari and Philip; both are private detectives with the ability to change into Kamen Riders, Gaia Memory Joker unit and the Gaia Memory Unit.

Both Hidari and Philip can combine to become Kamen Rider W using the Double Driver transformation belt. Makes you wonder if they’ll have to perform a fusion dance similar to what Goku and Piccolo had to do in Dragon Ball Z. You can view the video below to the Kamen Rider W suit in action and see the fusion dance reference.

The first day will feature appearances by “Kamen Rider Decade” actors Masahiro Inoue, Ryota Murai, Kanna Mori, Kimito Totani, and others, with talk and video segments covering the franchise’s past 10 years.

The second day will have a concert bringing together theme song artists from past series, including m.c.A.T, Masayuki Tanaka, Keiko Terada, Rica Matsumoto, and RIDER CHIPS. That same day will also have the “dance battle musical” with performances by past Riders, such as Kuuga, Agito, and Den-O.
