Meisa Kuroki Takes On Sand Beasts In Assualt Girls

Meisa Kuroki Takes On Sand Beasts In Assualt Girls

Meisa Kuroki showed the press a brief session of her voice-recording work for the upcoming movie Assualt Girls. She plays a gun-toting hunter battles sand worms with her side kicks, Rinko Kikuchi and Hinako Saeki, which began to appear after a nuclear war in the future.

Kuroki enjoyed recording her English lines, which takes up 90% of her script. She didn’t have to worry about recording the lines as an English speaking native since the director, Mamoru Oshii told her not to worry about pronouncing the words as one.

On the filming of the desert battle scenes with the giant “sand whales” which will be digitally added in the coming months, she said: “I had to imagine the fight, and honestly, I wasn’t really sure what I was doing.”

Assualt Girls opens in theaters on December 19.
