Miyavi And melody. Now Parents

Miyavi revealed through his official website on Thursday that he and former singer melody. have just become parents. The 27-year-old melody. gave birth to a daughter on Wednesday afternoon, a week later than expected.

The couple’s marriage took everyone by surprise when it was discovered this past March, shortly before Miyavi was planning to announce the news to his fans.

Miyavi is scheduled to launch his second world tour on September 14, which will include his first shows in Russia and Italy, among other countries.

GLAY To Have Short Tour In West Coast

Rock band GLAY has announced on their MySpace page that they will do a repeat of their short West Coast tour from last year. The group has scheduled three shows in California this September.

They will first perform at The Fillmore in San Francisco on September 9. After that, they will do two shows at the House of Blues Sunset Strip in Los Angeles on September 11 and 12.

Character Daisakusen Welcomes X Japan's Yoshiki

The creators of Character Daisakusen, or Character Wars in English, are welcoming Yoshiki of X Japan. Don’t worry, the rest of the band will be included starting next month.

The creators are also planning to bring their game to other countries; they’ll also attempt to collaborate with other well-known celebrities. Yoshiki will be the first one they add, he’ll be available at 6:00 p.m. TOSHI and HIDE will appear beginning next month. Players can choose to use Yoshiki forever for 2,000 yen.

Character Daisakusen is a real-time strategy game themed around the Three Kingdoms. Players control individual heroes in competitive matches ranging from 1-on-1 to 5-on-5. Each hero has its own unique skills, which improve as the players develop their heroes.

VAMPS to appear at Otakon

Otakon 2009 (taking place July 17-19 in Baltimore) has officially announced that rock band VAMPS will be making a special appearance at the convention.

Consisting of vocalist HYDE and guitarist KAZ, VAMPS announced previously that they would be touring the U.S. from July 11 to August 1. They were already scheduled to play in Baltimore on July 16, but had planned to leave right away for their following show in Seattle. However, in response to fan support, they decided to extend their stay in Baltimore to appear at Otakon on Friday, July 17, where they will hold a Q&A panel and autograph session.

Gackt Celebrates 10th Anniversity

Gackt celebrated his 10th year going solo a few days ago and has decided to make a big change, literally. In an effort to acknowledge his 10 year solo career, Gackt has changed his name to GACKT.

The singer belted out a total of 19 tunes to over 5,000 fans, including his newest single, “Ko-akuma Heaven,” the attention-grabbing cover of which features the star decked out as an “Age-jo” (cabaret hostess). The tour will take Gackt to four cities and eight concerts, playing to a total of 100,000 fans.

Miyavi Will Tour In Europe

Miyavi will begin touring in Europe beginning on September 19 in Moscow, Russia with the last concert in Barcelona, Spain on October 11. There will be a total of 17 shows in the European tour. Tickets for the tour will begin tomorrow, April 19.
