Dark Horse has announced at Comic-Con that The Kurosagi Corpse Delivery Service and the MPD Psycho manga series were both in development as potential live action movies at Universal. If either movie actually does go through, it’ll definitely help boost sales for Dark Horse since they publish both manga series.

Looks like Halo Legends is moving into high gear as there’s already a trailer available online. On top of that, Mamoru Oshii will be directing one of the short anime films.

Bandai made several announcements at this year’s Otakon, one of the biggest announcement is their first Blu-ray title, Kurokami. The company plans to distribute Kurokami on DVD and Blu-ray format. Kurokami is based on Black God published by Yen Press.
The other announcements include Bandai working with Fathom Events to show the Eureka Seven movie, Eureka Seven good night, sleep tight, young lovers, in 432 theaters for one night only – September 24th. Tickets for the movie will go on sale beginning August 21st and you can purchase tickets at Fathom Events’ Website.
Finally, Bandai clarified some details concerning Kannagi. The DVD that’s available at Amazon.com and Right Stuf will be a English-subbed version only; there will be no English-dubbed version. Once the DVD becomes available in mass market retailers (i.e. retail stores such as Target, Wal-Mart, Best Buy, etc.), the price will likely be higher since the MSRP will be higher.

Many Vampire Knights fans already knew that Kanon Wakeshima was one of the guests at the recent Otakon. Anime Vice was lucky enough to have some time to interview Wakeshima. Not really much to add from what’s been told from the title, former Kyoto Animation director Yamamoto Yutaka was well aware of the “Endless Eight” arc from The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. Yutaka was even against its repetitive direction but yet it still aired. Well, Yutaka wanted to apologize to Haruhi fans in person at Otakon. You can watch the apology below.

Kotobukiya will be offering some really sweet stuff at this year’s Comic-Con. Some of the items the company will have at the convention are even con exclusives (i.e. you won’t find them in any stores).

However, the latest announcement from Kotobukiya is that the company will be giving away a poster of Marvel comics heroines done by Shunya Yamashita. The posters are free. FREE.
So if you’re heading over to Comic-Con, you should definitely head over to Kotobukiya’s booth.
