New Ninokuni Screenshots

Many of you thought that the idea of a movie studio collaborating with a video game company would never happen until Disney and Square Enix created the “Kingdom Hearts” series. It seems like nothing like this will ever happen again. Right?

A few months ago, that has changed when Studio Ghibli decided to enter the video game industry with the aid of Level 5. In case you haven’t heard about this, Studio Ghibli will have its first role-playing game (RPG) titled “Ninokuni” for the Nintendo DS. There hasn’t been an official release date but it may be out this year, perhaps around the holidays.

What’s truly unique about “Ninokuni” is how you’ll play it.

The story is about a boy who receives a magic book after his mother dies. This allows him to enter a parallel world where he will be able to revive his mother. This magic book is essential to gameplay, so much so that a physical book will come with the game, and is required to play the game.

Take a look at the sweet screenshots below.

As a result, Naruse decided her time with AKB48 is now over and will continue to focus on her recovery despite the successful laser surgery. Keep in mind that Naruse would like to continue to perform with Team K, however, the dance routine causes much physical strain for her.

She does still plan on becoming a model, a long sought dream. Naruse assures her fans that she recover from the operation quickly to continue her dream.

KAT-TUN To Achieve Guinness Record? May 25th, 2009

KAT-TUN To Achieve Guinness Record?

Last Friday, KAT-KUN completed their eight consecutive days of performances at the Tokyo Dome. What’s more impressive is that over 55, 000 fans attended each concert leaving an impressive total of at least 400,000 people attending. It’s quite possible that the group may have indeed achieved a Guinness record.

Their management agency, Johnny’s Jimusho, is hoping to have this achievement officially recognized as a Guinness World Record under “most consecutive concerts at a venue with a capacity of 50,000.” It appears that someone affiliated with Guinness happened to be at the Tokyo Dome, so the agency has requested verification of the record.

With this much success, KAT-TUN decided to how their appreciation by adding more tour dates. The original plan included 3 in Osaka on May 29 – 31 and 2 more at the Tokyo Dome again on June 14 – 15. But now the group added 16 additional shows in 6 other cities. The extension will begin in July.
